I am so excited to share our next Letter L week activity with you!  This has been one of our all time favorites!!  Growing up my siblings and I used to love watching the old game show, Press Your Luck!  And this summer it’s even enjoying a revival of it’s own!  I decided to make a game where your kids get to press their luck or stay safe.  This element of control made my kids so excited about the game.

What You Need:

– Alphabet Letter Luck Printable (Free at the end of this post)

– Bucket or Basket

Scissors

How to Play:

-First, you want to print your Alphabet Letter Luck Printable out.  Cut out the Lovebug cards and put them in your bucket or basket.

-Each player is going to take turns drawing lovebug cards from the bucket.  When they draw a card they need to name the letter on the card.  If they get it right they have a choice…stay safe or press their letter luck and draw another card.

– But be careful, in the bucket are also lovebugs.  If you get a lovebug not only is your turn up, but you also have to put all your letters you have drawn and named correctly back in the button.

– When one player has chosen to stay safe or has drawn a lovebug, the next player gets to start their turn.  I would recommend setting a time limit on this game because it can tend to continue for a long time!
