Alphabet Rock Match Up | R is for Rock.
This alphabet rock match up gave ups some fun hands on learning! The weather has been weird here. We had a 100 degree day this weekend and now just two days latter it is in the 40s and rainy. Not the best recipe for an active preschool boy, but with activities like this, we are keeping our brains and bodies busy!

How to Play:
I provided a few different ways to play this one. You can use the rock cards I have with the printable or you can gather your own actual rocks and use them!! Prepare whatever version you are using by either printing and cutting or by labeling 26 rocks with a letter of the alphabet.
Now let your preschooler pick a card or a rock. They can tell you what letter they got and then find and color the matching letter on their recording sheet. This gives them great fine motor practice, but without the stress of more offical handwriting practice.
Keep going until you have found all the letters! I have also made lowercase rock cards in case you want to practice matching uppercase and lowercase letters!
And just a friendly reminder to embrace whatever stage of learning your preschooler is in. When my kids are young my main goal is exposure! They don’t have to know every letter right out of the gate, but through consistent exposure they have all gained mastery!
