Letter N Activity- N is for Nest

This week we are moving onto a letter N activity!  This activity was designed to help my daughter match and identify her upper and lowercase letters, but if you aren’t to that point, don’t worry you can always modify!  I am using so many of these activities again with my 3 year old who is just working on uppercase letters right now.  All I do is write the uppercase letter next to the lowercase letter and we are ready to go!  And now as an added bonus he is getting exposure to the lowercase letters too!!

What You Need:

– Alphabet Nests Printable (Free at the end of this post)

– Lamintor

– Laminating Sheets

– Scissors

– Velcro Dots

How to Play:

First, print off your Alphabet Nest printable (free for subscribers at the end of this post).  I would advise laminating this activity!  I have been using THIS laminator for years, and love it!  The truth is lamintors are not as expensive as I thought, and it is so convenient to have one here at home!!

You want to laminate the whole sheets and then you can cut apart the nest cards and the bird cards.  Then you can add your velcro dots!  Add one side above the nest and the matching dot to the backside of the bird card.

Now it’s time to make your matches!  We spread all our bird cards out and then took one nest at a time and searched for the match.  Keep going until you find all the matches!

Of course you can always modify this and only give your child 5 to 10 matches at a time.  You do what is right for your child!
