Easter Rhyme the Room

April 10, 2022

Easter Rhyme the Room.

I am sure you know about write the room activities, but this week I have an Easter Rhyme the Room activity!  Rhyming has been one of my preschoolers favorite activities!  Rhyming is fun, but it also helps our preschoolers begin to hear and compare syllable sounds.  We as adults take for granted that we can isolate sounds and syllables, but this is a skill our preschoolers need to practice!!

What You Need:

– Easter Rhyme the Room Printable (free at the end of the post!)

Scissors

Markers or Pencils

How to Play:

Print off your Easter Rhyme the Room recording sheet and egg cards.  Cut apart the egg cards and post them around your house.

I like to give my kids a clipboard to write on and set them off to find a posted egg card.  Once they find a card have them identify the picture and look at their page and find the word that rhymes!  Trace the rhyming word and then write the word on the egg card and draw a picture in the empty boxes next to the rhyming word.

Keep searching for egg cards and drawing and writing rhyming words until you find all eight!  We loved the combination of moving around the room and drawing and hope you will too!!
