Sock Shots Kid Activity

This Sock Shots Kid Activity was the very first Four O’Clock fun for our summer break!  My kids get out at noon on their last day of school, so once four o’clock hit I knew they were ready to physically work out some of those last day of schools emotions.  The running and shooting in this game was a perfect fit!

What You Need for Sock Shots Kid Activity:

15 Socks Rolled in a Ball

3 Laundry Baskets or Totes

Large Open Area

How To Play:

First, you will want to get your course set up!  You will want a large area to play in!  Set up three stations spaced apart in the area.  Each station will have five sock balls and then a laundry basket or tote.  Set the balls and the basket apart.  You will want to spread each station apart so your child will have to run from one station to the next.

Now it is time to play!  Decide a starting point and the order you will need to go through the stations.  Once your route is determined your children will take turns going through the course.  I gave mine 2 minutes to get through the course just to ensure they weren’t taking forever.  At each station your child will shoot the five sock balls into the basket.  They get a point for each ball that makes it into the basket.

The winner has the most points/baskets!  This was our winner striking her pose!  My kids loved this so much they played multiple rounds by themselves after we finished the first round!  And that is one of my favorite parts of Four O’Clock Fun!  When you get a winner they keep playing independently and you get to enjoy the sweet sounds of their play!  Happy playing!
