Free Preschool Winter Alphabet Clip Cards

This week’s freebie, Preschool Winter Alphabet Clip Cards, are great not only for letter recognition, but also give great fine motor practice!  Clip cards make a great center in the classroom or a great activity to take with you when you need a quiet activity for your child to work on.

What You Need:

– Winter Alphabet Clip Card Printable (Free at the end of this post)

Scissors

Card Stock or Laminator

Clothes Pins

How to Play:

First, print off your Winter Alphabet Clip Cards.  You will want these to be more durable so you can print them on card stock or laminate them.  A laminator is a great thing to add to your wish list if you don’t already have one!  They really aren’t too expensive!  I have THIS one and have loved it for years!!

This game comes in several versions:  uppercase, lowercase, and beginning sounds.  Pick the version your child is ready for and grab some clothes pins.  If you don’t have any clip cards you can always use mini erasers to set on the correct answers.

Let your child take one card at a time and find the matching letter on the side and clip their clothes pin to it.  If you are working on letter recognition, make sure you sit with your child and have them say the letter name.  And don’t forget, you can always start with just a few cards if your child isn’t ready for the whole alphabet!
