Alphabet Vet Activity

I am absolutely in love with the Alphabet Vet activity we are sharing today!  If you are looking for a way to practice letter recognition but you are tired of seeing the same old worksheet options, then this activity is for you!

My daughter LOVES stuffed animals.  Honestly, I don’t think she has ever met a stuffed animal she didn’t want to have for her own!  We have to limit how many she is allowed to have in her bed at night.  And I know talking to other moms, I am not the only one with a stuffed animal loving child!  So let’s put those stuffed animals to good use today!

What You Need for Alphabet Vet:

-Alphabet Vet Printable (FREE for subscribers at the end of this post)

-Blank labels like THIS to use as pretend band aids

-Stuffed Animals.  We had more than enough to use, but if you need more you could get something like THIS, or you can always reuse the same stuffed animals and pretend they keep getting sick!

How to Play:

First, print off your Alphabet Vet Printable and then cut each card apart.  Next, take your labels and write each letter of the alphabet on one label.  We were just practicing matching capital letters, but you can make lowercase labels if you want to practice matching upper and lowercase letters.

Then you will want to prep your child for the game.  I told my daughter that all of her stuffed animals were feeling sick today and we need to help them feel better.  She helped me gather them all up and bring them out to our vet station on the living room floor.

Once we got our sick animals gathered my daughter would take one Vet RX card and one stuffed animal.  The card will show where the animal needs a band aid and what letter band aid they need there.  You may need to help with the first few examples and then let your child go!

My daughter LOVES our role play games so this one was a big hit for us!  If you want to play with your little one, sign up below to become an email subscriber and get instant access to this printable for FREE!
