C is for Cupcake- Letter C Week

Letter C is just the best week, isn’t it!  First we had a cookie activity and this week we are on to cupcakes!  Don’t worry though, you don’t have to digest any sugar to have fun with this week!  And if you are looking for an activity that will easily roll into independent play, this is it!!

What You Need:

-Free Cupcake Orders Printable (at the end of this post)

Cupcake Wrapers

Playdough

Sharpie Marker

Optional- These Alphabet stamps would be a great extra step of fun!!

How To Play:

– Print and cut apart the Cupcake Order printable.  Take your cupcake wrappers and label each one with a letter of the alphabet.  I wrote lowercase letters because we were practicing matching upper and lowercase, but you can use whatever is best for your kiddo!

– Next, get ready to place your cupcake order!  Let your little one pretend they are taking orders.  When they come to you, hand them one of the cupcake alphabet cards.  Their job is to find the matching cupcake wrapper and make you a cupcake!  We also have alphabet stamps that we love so we stamped the matching letter onto the cupcake too!

– Keep playing until you have all the letter cupcakes made or until your child begins playing independently with the playdough.

-This activity is one of my favorites because my preschooler can learn, be creative, get hands on practice, and have fun and I can get work done while they are busy making each order.  That’s a big win-win if you ask me!
