K is for Kiss- Letter K Activities

Last week’s activity had us outside and active and this week we are working with chocolate.Β  It’s all about balance with our letter k activities!Β  πŸ™‚Β  Of course incorporate candy is always a hit with my kids.Β  Honestly, they get to eat one piece of candy after we play and then I put it up and they usually forget about it quickly!Β  A pretty small price to pay for being engaged in learning!

What You Need:

– Alphabet Kiss Printable (Free at the end of this post)

Chocolate Kisses Candy

– Sharpie Marker

Bucket or Basket

–Β Scissors

How to Play:

-First, you want to print your Alphabet Kiss printable, cut them apart and put the cards in a bucket of basket.

-Next, get your chocolate kisses ready.Β  On the bottom of each candy write a letter name.Β  Use 26 candies, one for each letter of the alphabet.Β  Then spread them out letter-side down on the table.

– Now it’s time to start playing.Β  This is similar to a memory game so all players will want to pay attention to each kiss turned over.Β  Let player one draw a kiss card from the bucket.

– The player picks up a chocolate kiss and checks to see if it has a matching letter under it.Β  If not, they put the kiss back and the next player gets a turn.Β  We played that each player drew their own kiss card and was looking for their own letter match.Β  It caused much less sibling conflict!Β  But you could always have players go back and forth looking for the same letter too!

-Keep taking turns and finding matches until every match has been found.
