Our first Letter L activity is a great activity for home or for the classroom.  It would make a great center or a perfect busy bag to grab on the go!  We are working on matching uppercase and lowercase letters again this week!  I love these matching activities because they are great independent work!  Give your kiddo all the pieces and let them match!  You can come back and check when they are all done!

What You Need:

– Alphabet License Plates Printable (Free at the end of this post)

Laminator

Laminating Packets

Velcro Dots

– Scissors

How to Play:

-First, you want to print your Alphabet License Plate Printable out.  By all means use child labor for this!  I do recommend that you laminate this one.  Don’t worry though, I use THIS type of home laminator and it is really quite affordable!  I have used it for years and it is still going strong!  Definitely worth the investment!

-After you laminate your pages, you will need to cut apart each car card and license plate, and then add your velcro dots.  One dot on the back of the license plate and one in the rectangle on the car card.

– Once your pieces are laminated and assembled you are ready to play!  We spread out all the license plates and then took one car card at a time and looked for its match!

– I always like to remind my kids, if you get stuck and aren’t sure about one, put it to the side and move on to the next one.  By the time they do all the ones they are confident in, they will have a lot less to sort through and can usually remember the correct match!
