We are finishing up Letter C week with a fun coin game! My kids love coins. It doesn’t matter what kind, every coin is worth collecting and celebrating to them! So this week we put all those saved up coins to good use!!
What You Need:
– Free Coin Collection Alphabet Printable Game (at the end of this post)
-Around 30 coins- any kind of coin will work.
-A cupÂ
-marker
-Dot stickers
How to Play:
– First print and cut apart the Coin Collection game boards. There are 6 game boards provided in the download, but you only need as many boards as you have players. Â
-Next you will label each dot sticker with a letter of the alphabet and then stick it on one of your coins. Also add several coins labeled with a star. I used uppercase letters so she would have to match uppercase and lowercase, but you use whatever is best for your child! (I was also out of dot sticker so I used white address labels and just cut them apart! Cause you sometimes you have to improvise, right?)
– Now it’s time to play! Put all the coins in your cup, and let one player draw out a coin. If they have the matching letter on their board they get to cover it with the coin, if they don’t have a match they put the coin back into the cup.
– If the player draws a coin with a star on it, it is a wild coin that they can place anywhere on their board.
-Continue playing until one player has covered their entire game board.
For a shorter game, let any player use a coin drawn. For example if I draw and H, and do not have it on my board, but you have it on yours, you get to cover your H.
