Spring Alphabet Activity | Dot and Count
Here in our part of the midwest we have a lot of “fake spring”. If you are from the midwest you know exactly what I mean. It’s that time of the year when you get a good stretch of 4 or 5 days when the weather warms up and it makes you think for just a second that spring is here. And then just like that it will snow and you will be back in winter! So it may not fully be spring here, but we like to welcome spring into our learning activities now because it gives us something to look forward to!
What You Need:
– Spring Dot and Count Alphabet Printable (Free at the end of this post)
How to Play:
First, print off the dot and count sheets and gather your dot markers.
Have your child take one marker and find one letter on their paper and dot all of that letter the same color. For example, find and dot every A with the green dot marker.
Next, grab another dot marker. Find and dot all of a new letter. For example, now grab the yellow marker and dot all the Bs. Continue doing this until you have found and dotted all of the letters on the page.
Now have your child count how many they found of each letter and fill in the letter next to the correct number match. So if they found 4 As they will write A in the box next to the number 4.
This activity comes with multiple pages so each letter is used. You can use one each day for a week or spread them out as you learn different letters throughout the spring!!
