We had a difficult personal week last week at our house. (You can check out my Instagram account if you want to know more.) But we are slowly trying to get back to our normal routine. I had to remind myself many times in the last few weeks that it’s okay to stop and take care of myself. I can’t pretend I don’t have needs that need to be addressed just because I am Mom. Not every day has to be filled with learning and fun. We had a lot more TV in our house the last week, but that’s okay. It’s not forever, and we have been making baby steps forward each day. Hopefully by next week we will be completely back to our normal schedule, but until then I am practicing a little self-compassion!
Let’s get to our Letter T Activity!
What You Need:
– Roll and Type Printable (Free at the end of this post)
-Dice (We love these big foam dice!)
– Any kind of typing device. We used a tablet, like this. You could also use an alphabet toy like this.
How to Play:
– Print out the Roll and Type Printable
– Grab a Dice and Roll. Find the line that matches the number rolled.
-Have your child use a tablet or alphabet toy to type the line.  I had my daughter say the letter names to me as she was typing them.
If you are using a tablet, but can also choose if you want your child to type on the Uppercase Keyboard and match Uppercase to Uppercase or if they are ready you can use the Lowercase Keyboard and match Uppercase to Lowercase.
-Once they are done with a line, let them roll and again and repeat the process with a new line. Keep going until you have typed all the lines!
I love this activity because it didn’t take a lot of prep for me, but my daughter was soooo excited about it. We really try to limit time on the tablet, so she was excited she got some extra tablet time!
