Free MLK Craftivity
This free MLK craftivity will be a great fit for your preschool or even kindergarten students! I have searched for an activity that wasn’t just cute but also incorporated some of the most important ideas that Martin Luther King, Jr. believed in. Nothing was exactly what I wanted, so I decided to make my own and share it with you!!

How to Use Free MLK Craftivity:
First, print off all the pages of your MLK book. Personally, I think this is a great activity to do slowly over a week. Most young children won’t want to sit and finish all the pages at once. But one or two pages a day will give you opportunities all week to talk about Martin Luther King, Jr and review what he stood for!
I like to also read a picture book about MLK before we begin working on this book. One of my favorites is “Who Was Martin Luther King?” by Lisabeth Kaiser. It gives great information but in a preschool friendly way! After reading the book, you could color and complete one to two pages. Some pages are simply coloring and other pages your child will draw their own idea. For example, on the page that says I can be kind, I drew a picture of me sharing my pop-it with a friend. Feel free to label the picture for your child!
Each day following you could review the story with your child. Ask them questions about what you read and see what they remember. Then complete one or two more pages in the book.
When you are done with all of the pages, but them in order and line them up with the top of the box under the main Martin Luther King, Jr. picture. Then staple the pages so you can now flip them up and read it as a book. My preschooler LOVES sharing these types of books with the rest of the family and sharing the information he has learned!!
