Free Christmas Counting Clip CardsÂ
Even though this year is so different than others, I still find myself wanting and needing quick and easy activities to do with my preschooler. This week’s free preschool activity is exactly that! Counting may seem like such a simple skill, but it really isn’t!! If you have ever watched a preschool student count slowly as their finger jumps quickly through all the objects before them, you know counting isn’t such a cake walk! This week we are going to flex those counting skills and maybe a little bit of fine motor skills mixed in too.
What You Need:
– Christmas Counting Clip Cards (Free at the end of this post)
– Clothes pins or Mini erasersÂ
How to Play:
First, print off your Christmas Counting Clip Cards. I recommend printing them on cardstock or laminating them so they are more durable. Then you will need to cut apart each card.
Gather up some clothes pins and have your child pick one card. Have them count the presents or the ornaments and then take the clothes pin and clip in on the correct number.
You could also use mini erasers if you don’t have any clothes pins handy and just set a mini eraser on the matching number. There are 20 different cards in this download and would be a great quiet learning activity at home or at a classroom center.
I hope you enjoy these and we wish you a very merry Christmas!
