Alphabet Flower Activity
This alphabet flower activity is inspired by the beautiful summer flowers so many of us plant or watch bloom each year. One of the best jobs for young kids in the summer is watering the flowers! It is simple enough that even toddlers can help, but it truly is important! So after you go out and water the flowers together you can head back inside and do this alphabet flower activity!

How to Play:
First, print off the free Alphabet Flowers printable and cut apart the pieces. There should be five big flower cards and 26 little flower cards. Spread the larger white flower cards out so your child can easily see all the letters. Put the little flower cards in a pile and let your child draw one card.Â
Have your child identify the letter on the flower card drawn and then find the matching letter on the large white flowers. Your child can then color in the matching petal. They could even color it in a matching color to the flower on the card they drew. If coloring is hard for your child you could use dot markers or even grab some playdough and cover each petal with a petal of playdough.
If you want to add more movement in this activity you can hide the small flower cards around your house and have your child go around and find them. And don’t forget that this activity comes in both uppercase and lowercase options!
