We are continuing with Letter Y Week today on the blog! I really love how this activity turned out! It was fun for us to do at home, but would also be a perfect center for school! For added fun add a magnifying glass!! I got one at the Dollar Tree for $1, of course!Â
What You Need:
– Yard Detective Printable (FREE at the end of this post)
– Pencil (how cute are THESE!) or Markers
– Magnifying Glass (Optional, but super fun!)
How to Play:
– Print off your Yard Dectective Printable and grab your writing untensil and magnifying glass!
– Let your child look through each yard picture and find the hidden letters!
– When your child finds a letter, they can record it in the matching numbered spot on the recording sheet.
This activity gave us a great opportunity handwriting practice as well as letter recognition! And my kids love to play “mystery” so the detective aspect made this a winner for us!
