Free Q-tip Painting Weather PicturesÂ
These q-tip painting pictures go with my Facebook theme this week…handwriting! If you don’t see a connection yet, hang with me. One of the hardest parts of handwriting is strengthening those little muscles so they can hold and move a pencil properly! The good news is there are LOTS of fun activities that help strengthen these muscles. If you want more info on that head over to my Facebook page HERE where I did a series of live videos about different strengthening activities! One of those activities is q-tip painting so I thought I would share a fun weather themed freebie with you to celebrate our handwriting fun!Â

How to Play:
First, print off your Q-tip Painting Papers. Gather some q-tips and washable paint. I like to get a paper plate and put a small amount of several colors on the paint. This gives your child easy access to a lot of paint, but hopefully controls the mess a little bit!
Encourage your child to dip their q-tip into the paint and then dot each empty circle. We like to have one q-tip for each color to avoid color mixing. The q-tip is small enough that preschoolers usually don’t hold it with a fist like they often do with pencils, but light enough that they have more control over it then a pencil. Â
If you don’t want to deal with paint, you can also use these pages with pom poms. Add some child tweezers and you are still working those little muscles! Â
