We are on to letter J this week!  We had so much fun uncovering letters in our Ice Breaker Activity a few weeks ago, I thought we should do another hands on letter find for letter J week!  We had lots of giggles while playing and I hope you do too!!

What You Need:

– Alphabet Jello Printable (Free at the end of this post)

Plastic Container

Alphabet Magnets

Paper Towel

Spoons

Bucket or Basket

– Scissors

How to Play:

-First, make your Jello!  Put it in a large food storage container and then mix in the alphabet magnets.  Stir them around and put it into the fridge to set!  Follow the package directions for the amount of time your jello needs to set.

-Next, print and cut apart your Jello Alphabet cards.  Put them all into a bucket when they are ready!

– To play, let your child draw a Jello Alphabet card and then have them search through the Jello for that letter!  I gave them plastic spoons to dig around in the Jello!

– Once a letter was found, I had them put it on a paper towel.  This is key if you want to avoid a sticky, messy table when you are done!!

-Eventually they got so comfortable that they just stuck their hands in and started searching for letters!  They were so giggly about the Jello!  Of course we had to wash our hands, and if you plan to let your child use their hands I would maybe use a paint shirt too.  Lots of fun and really less mess than I anticipated!!
