Halloween is right around the corner, so my daughter and I have been playing some fun Halloween themed games!Β I want to share with you four of the letter recognition games we have been playing.Β While my little one certainly hasn’t mastered all of her letters yet, these games give her a fun way to get more exposure to the entire alphabet!
Game #1- Feed the Candy Trolls
The Candy Trolls are hungry and you need to feed them fast!Β Match Troll Cards with candy letters on the tracking sheet to “feed” the troll!Β Up the excitement by feeding your student some candy for their hard work too!Β This game is such a hit, my daughter asks to play this almost every day!Β This game comes with both uppercase and lowercase options.
Game #2- Who Stole the Pumpkin
A ghost has stolen our prize pumpkin, and it’s your job to figure out who! One player hides the pumpkin underneath one of the letter ghosts.Β The other players take turns guessing a letter and looking underneath to see if the pumpkin is hiding there.Β Continue until the pumpkin is found.Β The finder becomes the new hider!
This one is a Halloween Board game.Β Just print and add a die and some player pieces.Β Roll the die and move.Β Say the name of the letter you land on, but watch out you could run into a road block that will set you back.
Do all three of those games sound like fun?Β Check out my Halloween Letter Games Bundle here!
Are you ready for an awesome FREEBIE now!Β Keep scrolling!!!
Game #4- BOO!
Grab this Boo- Letter Recognition GameΒ and put it to good use!Β Just print off the BOO cards and put them in a bucket.Β The first player reaches in and says the letter they have drawn.Β If they are correct, they get to keep their card.Β Continue with the other players.Β Watch out though, if you get a BOO card you must put all your cards back, and if you get aΒ SWAP card, you must swap your card pile with another player. If you get lucky, you may even get an EXTRA card and be able to go 2 times in a row!Β This game keeps all students engaged because it is not just a game of who knows the most!Β You have to get lucky to win too!
I love these fun and interactive learning ideas π No Halloween here in Barbados but I would play them nonetheless
Thanks! You will have to check back later for some non-holiday themed games! π
These are so cute!! My toddler would love them π
Thanks, Kristen! My little girls have had a blast with them!
How creative! Another way to engage kids about Halloween that’s not about candy!
