Kid’s Water Target Game
It has been hot here so I knew this kid’s water target game would make my kids a little more enthusiastic about going outside! I know we aren’t as hot as some of you in the south, but it has definitely been hot enough for us! But the heat is always a little more bearable if you add in some water. This game is also great because I was able to put my big girls in charge of keeping score so they got to sneak a little math practice in too!!

What You Need:
Water Target Printable Scoresheet (free at the end of this post)
How To Play:
First, gather up your supplies. If you want to use the provided scorecard, print it off. You will also want four sponges, a bucket filled with water, and something to write the scores with. You will also need to draw your target in the sidewalk. We made our outer circle 1, next circle 5, then 10 and the center 20. If you are working on something like partners of 10, then feel free to use numbers that could make 10!
Now it’s time to play, the first player will dip a sponge into the water and throw it toward the target trying to get the most points. We made the rule that if it was in two different zones they got the greater point value. The first player will repeat this three more times for a total of four throws. Then you can add up the score!
Then you repeat this with each player. At the end see who scored the most. And of course my kids wanted a rematch when we got done, so be prepared to play multiple rounds!!
