Swimming Pool Shape Activity

Swimming is probably our favorite summer activity and this swimming pool shape activity will bring the swimming vibes to your learning!  You can use this activity as a simple shape sort or you can throw some shape buttons into your kid pool or water table and let your child have some water fun!

What You Need for Swimming Pool Shapes:

– Swimming Pool Shapes Printable (free at the end of the post!)

– Scissors

–Shape Buttons (Optional)

-Water Table (Optional)

How to Play:

Print off the Swimming Pool Shape Printable and cut apart the pool cards.  If you want to use this as a simple sort, you can also cut apart the shape cards or you can grab a handful of shape buttons for your child to sort.  Your child can pick one card or button and identify the shape.  Then place it on the matching pool card!

If you are feeling braver you can use those shape buttons in the water!  Add them to a backyard kiddie pool or water table.  Or you can make a water based sensory bin!  Let your child go fishing for buttons!  You could use a net or spoon to fish them out or just let them bare hand it!

Enjoy this water play with your child!  Maybe take a run through the sprinkler when your done and make some memories!!  Happy learning!
