Leaf Letter Match
This week’s Leaf Letter Match is such a fun fall alphabet activity for you and your preschooler! I don’t know about your kids, but my kids love helping daddy rake the leaves and then of course jump in the leaf pile! This year when I saw them jumping in the piles the idea for this activity popped into my head!!

How to Play Leaf Letter Match:
First, print off your Leaf Recording Sheet and decide if you want to use the leaf alphabet cards provided or if you want to use fake leaves labeled with one alphabet letter each. Prepare you cards or your leaves and spread them out on the group like they are leaves in your yard!
I actually had a bunch of extra fake leaves so I mixed in blank leaves and leaves labeled with a letter! If you decide to do this you can have a little letter hunt through the pile first! When they find a letter leaf have them identify the letter and then find the match on the recording sheet and dot it!
I have also included a lowercase recording sheet and leaf cards so you can practice lowercase letters or matching lowercase to uppercase. And don’t forget you can usually use my alphabet activities to practice letter sounds or beginning or ending sounds too. Just have your child identify the sound or a word for each letter they find!
