Hey Internet Friends!
I am back with a bonus blog post for this week to share my new FREE Christmas Counting Cards! I try to post once a week, and with 3 kids, and a few other side jobs, that keeps me plenty busy, but I have so many FREE Christmas resources I wanted to share with you, I carved out some extra time to share another post with you all this week!
We are still working on basic number recognition with my middle daughter. We are really great with 1-6 and after that we get a little hazy! And I’m sure you mommas out there know anytime we can make learning hands on, not only is it a lot more fun, but they remember the information better!
So my resource today to share with you are these fun Christmas Counting Cards!!
All you need to do is print, cut apart, and I would recommend laminating these also! If you don’t have a laminating machine, I definitely recommend it!!! I am such a nerd, I asked for one for my birthday a few years back! I have definitely put it to good use.
This is the brand of laminator I have and I have nothing but great things to say about it!!
And please, please, please, don’t waste your money on expensive laminating sheets! I buy these affordable ones, and have never had a problem with them!!
Back to the Counting Cards! Check out the cards in action below and a few ideas for how you can use these with your child!
- Use them as play dough mats!! Have your child create the number of ornaments with play dough! (This is where laminating them would be important!)
- Use mini erasers as tree decorations! (Check out this super cute Christmas mini eraser pack!!!) If you want an added challenge, see if they can use fine motor tools like these to pick up the erasers and set them on the tree.
- Use stickers. My kids love stickers like these, so we always have some on hand! If you have laminated your cards, you can peel the stickers off when play time is over and use the cards again!
- Other ideas to decorate the trees include pom pom puffs, dry erase markers to design their own ornaments, jewels, or beads.
The best part is this is FREE to my email subscribers! Sign up below and get this fun FREEBIE now!
