Butterfly Alphabet Board Game
This Butterfly Alphabet Board Game was destined to happen in our family. My second daughter has LONG been a fan of butterflies. Or blutterflies as she sometimes still says. But honestly, butterflies are so fun to watch and study that I think we can all use some butterfly fun in our week!

What You Need:
– Save the Butterflies Printable Game- Free at the end of this post!
-Dice- We love THESE big foam ones!
How to Play:
First, print off the Save the Butterflies game board and cut the player card out. Give one player card to each person.
To start the game, players put their game piece in the top left corner. Let the first player roll the dice, move their marker accordingly, and then identify the letter they land on.
-Next, players continue each taking turns rolling the dice and moving around the board. While moving around the board, if a player lands on a net square, one of their butterflies has been captured. To show this we covered a butterfly on our player card.
– When all of your butterflies have been caught in nets and covered on your player card, you are out of the game. The winner is the last player with a butterfly left uncovered!
This game comes in both uppercase and lowercase versions too! And you can also use this to identify letter sounds instead of names or to give a word that begins with the letter landed on!
