Astronaut Match is out final letter A activity from our Letter A week! We are continuing to work on the skill of matching uppercase and lowercase letters with this activity, but it is perfect for beginners up to more advanced learners. All you need to change is the number of matches you give them! Start with four or five familiar letters for the beginner or give them all to your more advaced learners!
How To Play:
-First, prep your game pieces. Print and laminate the Astronaut Alphabet Match pages and then cut each piece apart. After cutting you can put velco dots on each card. Put one half on all the planet cards and they other half on all the astronaut cards.
-The next step depends on where your child is in the learning process. My daughter was pretty confident by this point to we spread all the astronaut cards out on the table. If you are just beginning though, start with only 5 to 6 letters!
– Next, let them draw one planet card at at time, and then look for it’s match. Once they find the match velcro the two cards together!
– Don’t forget to have your child tell you the letter names as they are making matches!
